As an automotive enthusiast I can’t help but get all lustful for the new 2014 Corvette Stingray. While actual features and pricing have not been announced, the look alone deserves some attention. This is a beautiful car! I put together a side-by-side with the 2012 TopGear “Supercar of the Year” Winner Ferrari F12berlinetta and you can see there is a striking resemblance. Where you won’t see a resemblance is in their price tag. The Ferrari will run you in the mid $300k’s while you can get the Corvette for less than one fifth of that. To my knowledge that makes the Corvette the least expensive “Supercar” available in the united states. I’ll take 3. While giving it “Supercar” status may be contentious, the base model is reported to run sub 4 seconds in the 0-60 which puts it in Supercar territory in my books. The Stingray is not slated to hit dealer showrooms until September of this year which gives me 7 months to set aside some funds!
AutoBlog has done a nice writeup of the current knowledge on the car so head on over to their post for a complete gallery and detailed overview.
